Manitoba Labour and Immigration has a service that provides financial assistance to immigrants who are working toward getting their profession licence.

The Credentials Recognition Program provides wage assistance to employers who provide program clients with full-time professional or technical work related to their educational background.

Any business registered and operating in Manitoba, including Crown corporations, is eligible.

• Jobs created must remain permanent positions upon termination of the program's wage assistance.
• The creation of new positions cannot result in the layoff, termination or dismissal of current employees.
• Wage assistance is 40 per cent of the gross wage per employee calculated over a six month period to a maximum of $4,500.
