Job workshops for professionals, skilled workers
Success Skills Centre offers free employment search workshops for immigrant professionals and skilled workers with sufficient English skills.
To attend a workshop series you must first attend a registration session. Registration sessions are held on the first Thursday of the month, 9:30 a.m. to 12 noon, or 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. The job preparation series starts on the Monday after the registration session.
To attend you must register. Go to Success Skills Centre, 12th floor - 330 Portage Avenue. Phone 975-5111, or e-mail ssc@successskills.mb.ca.
Topics covered in the workshops include:
- self-esteem and positive attitude
- interview skills
- preparing your résumés cover letters
- portfolio preparation
- job search
- marketing skills
- negotiations
- employment maintenance

Attend ENTRY orientation program
After you arrive in Winnipeg go to the ENTRY Program. It is a free orientation and English
class.
New immigrants should attend the free classes at the ENTRY Program. You will practice English as you learn about daily life in Winnipeg.
ENTRY will arrange for your language assessment.

MPNP information sessions
The Nominee Application Centre helps clients complete Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program application forms and supporting documents at no charge.
You can attend information sessions about the program and meet with an advisor. The centre also offers free notary services and referrals to other community programs.

8:30 a.m. - 8 p.m. Thursday
8:30 a.m. - 2 p.m. Saturday, by appointment only
