Strategic Initiatives application process

STEP 1: Selection/eligibility

People invited to apply
Each Strategic Initiative identifies specific partners and criteria for the type and number of applicants that will be invited to apply. The MPNP provides applicants who meet the criteria with a letter inviting them to apply to the MPNP with priority assessment.

For example, each year MPNP officers travel to different countries to meet potential applicants at events such as employment and immigration fairs. People who are interviewed may be formally invited to apply to the MPNP.

STEP 2: Submit complete application

Follow the document checklist MDOC STRATEGIC. It explains all forms and supporting documents that you must include in your application.

STEP 3: MPNP assesses application

You will be considered for nomination if you can demonstrate that you:

  • meet the specific requirements of a Strategic Initiative and are employable in Manitoba
  • have demonstrated a clear ability and intention to establish permanently in Manitoba
