NEW VERSION OF PERMANENT RESIDENT CARD ISSUED


Canada's permanent resident card has a new look and improved security features. Citizenship and Immigration Canada began circulating the new cards Aug. 24, 2009.

If you are a current permanent resident you will not receive a new card until your existing card expires.

If you are a new permanent resident you will automatically receive your new card as part of the immigration process.
