As a temporary foreign worker, you may want to live and work permanently in Manitoba.
Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program
The
Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program for Skilled Workers (Manitoba PNP) is a government immigration program that selects skilled workers who demonstrate they have the potential and the desire to immigrate and settle themselves and their families in Manitoba.
The
Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program can assist you to move permanently to our province under its Employer Direct stream. Employer Direct is a Manitoba PNP priority assessment stream that helps Manitoba employers hire a temporary foreign worker who is already working in Manitoba. The Manitoba PNP would be your first step to becoming a permanent resident of Manitoba and of Canada.
After you submit your application and if you are approved the Manitoba PNP will send you a Letter of Approval and instructions on how to apply for your permanent resident visa at the Canadian embassy, high commission, consulate or visa office in your country of residence. If you are currently working in Manitoba on a temporary work permit you may apply at the Canadian Consulate General in Buffalo, New York.
